WAY back in 1998 Warhammer 40000 3rd edition was released. In the core box set were two forces; Space Marines and a new race … the Dark Eldar. For the astute amongst us, that was nigh on twelve odd years ago! The “second edition” of the rule book was released in 2003, but the changes were not especially consequential.
